Tyre speed limitations
Folks,
I've got a query regarding tyre speed limitations - Anyone know what the approximate structural limitation (speed) would be for main gear tyres on either the 744 or 737 or equivalent Airbus..??
cheers,
BB

It is 225 or 235 MPH. The 744 uses either, depending on version. The big Buses uses 235, the smaller ones 225.
You can go here to get an idea of what various aircraft types uses. Or you could just have a look at the tyre next time you walk past. It's written on the sidewall.

It depends on what Tire the company use.
I.e.:
B737 H40 X 14.5 - 19 - 26 = 225MPH
B744 H49 X 19 - 32 = 235M

. No harm done. I don't really deal with MPH.
