Pilatus PC-21 Offset Spinner

http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/types/sw...c-21/PC-21.htm

Guys, take a look at the pics somewhere in the middle of this webpage.
Does anyone know why the spinner is offset to the starboard? Is this some kind of compensation for asymetric blade effect? Looks like a wicked plane, a pity one of them crashed recently. My condolence to the pilot and his family.

many prop a/c use offset thrustlines to reduce p factor, and trim drag, or tailor stability. other solutions are offset/angled fins, strakes. just a few things off the top of my head

Rigpiggy,

Thanks for the info. Looks like it's time to hit the books about the stuff you mentioned. Cheers!
