Reference Zero.......and the lot

I was looking over some performance theory(yes there are times when I have nothing better to do).....

I came across our old friend RZ .. Its been some 13 years since I wrote my theory. I then and still in our day cant for the life Froddo visualise where this imaginery plane starts.....so If any of you gurus can simplfy this visualisation for me and how in a practical manner can we apply this two dimensional plane .I will be most gratefull. !!

If you please no direct definitions from the books ,that I can do on my own. ....

Thats my imbroglio......

Thanks in advance

Jones

Quite simple really - RZ is the point where the aircraft reaches 35ft on the t/o having lost an engine at V1, i.e. the end of the t/o and the start of the climb profile.
