Now AI looks like chasing its tail. But OK it is logical to go on and fight the 777.

I guess they're into that for both 350 and 340NG (should I call it that actually or it will in time become 360)?

They still do not want to venture in fully composite fuse. Sad, since AI has enough expertise.

A340-600E in service in 2011? That is snails pace - plenty of time for Boeing/GE to do incremental improvements to the 777-300ER, and probably leapfrog any improvements that the 346E will have.
