Will there ever be such a thing as Bio-Jet A1?

With the current situation with fuel prices on the up, and ever larger jets being built, is there anyone out there who's working on something else to put into the tanks?

Big problem will be freezing point. Biodiesel already has to be mixed with something else in the winter for car use. I think it will be tough to get a -50 deg freeze/gel point. OTOH, could circulate it through the galley and install a fryer...
