Cocked Nosewheels - A Fix

Nice landing by the pilot of that Airbus with the cocked nosewheels at LA.

Wonder if he was able to populate all of the rear seats with his pax to take the cg to the rear as much as possible and then use max reverse on the roll out.

How many centre lights did he take out?

Hear tell that a fix for some types is to raise gear and then do a free fall without the hydraulics.

This evidently has been used to correct similar situations with a VC10.

But Milt, what happens if the pilots override the gear-retract protection (if they can on a Bus) and the nose wheel tries to fit sideways into a wheel-well only made to take it straight ahead?
