question: registration mark sizes

greetings,

i have a serious question which i would like to ask the floor.

Is there a minimum size for the markings on civil registered aircraft ie G-ABCD. Are there different regulations for different parts of the aircraft, ie fuselage, wings?

i would be grateful for replies on this subject, and also any direction on where i could get an official reference, ( a web link would be even better)

regards

TFC

Standard N-marks have been 12" block characters since the late 40's, but before that were about 4" on the vertfin and 20" on the wing. Elderly aircraft have been permitted to retain the small fin markings - wing marks not required today.
