B744 Altitude alert

Does the B744 have an altitude alert squawk 900' before set altitude? Can't find anything in the manuals.

Thanks for any steers.

Hi 4HP,

The Altitude Box is highlighted in white between 900ft and 300ft
when approaching a selected altitude. No aural alert well atleast not in our aircraft.

You will get an Eicas Caution >ALTITUDE ALERT with an aural beeper if the aircraft has deviated more than 300 ft from the MCP selected altitude. Also the Altitude Box changes to amber when deviating from selected altitude between 300 and 900ft.

Hope that helps
Cheers

B744 ALT Alert

If I'm not mistaken the alt alert sounds when the window has highlighted as said earlier, but, only whilst flying manually.

It's a customer option. Some airlines do not have the tone.

Some have none, some have it when the AP is off and some have it all the time. As mentioned, it's a customer option. However, some form of alt alert is mandatory in RVSM airspace. I'm not sure if it has to be audible though.
