Handy tech hints for 757/767

Forgive me if this has been done before. I have done several searches and found nothing.

What I was looking to find out if there are any more of those handy technical things you can do to keep thing going. For example if you get a WARN ELEX status when on the ground, turning on the IRS's and doing the stall warning test may clear it.

I have heard that there is something you can do to clear a HI STAGE EICAS when on the ground but I don't know what.

Any of these little gems from all you Skygods out there would be much appreciated. javascript:smilie('')

I have a "quick Fix" sheet, but there has not been much of an opportunity to try many of the items. The jets seem to be kept in excellent condition.

L/R ENG REV CONT on ground (won't erase) - Cycle stby power, then erase

IRS stays on DC - Check EEC switches normal

No HF transmit/receive - check SAT/HF transfer switch in HF

Mach/Speed Trim warning light on ground - Cycle Stab trim cutout switches.

Chimes ringing - Check F/A handsets stowed. Cycle pax ent/serv switches. If individual seat, check under armrest for cables pressing against each other and separate.

No audio with movie - Check handsets stowed/PA power.

There are more whose accuracy I have not had the opportunity to verify.
