It would be fascinating to see the effect. Any chance of an online link, J_T? Or perhaps a short .mpg made from your video collection?

Actually I had a request a day or so ago for a copy of some videos from another of our colleagues .. the early tests date back a good many years so I will have to locate the old tapes in archives .. when I do I will capture to digital and make up an mpeg of the interesting bits .. long since lost any commercial confidentiality so I have no problems with letting people see them.

Quality is not all that good as we used long lenses ( 800 - 1000 mm focal length) on high end domestic video cameras .. the mismatch gives dreadful colour problems and, as one of the drivers was cost, the lenses, while high quality, were not particularly fast.

In fact, one of the big problems I had was that no-one around had done such a mismatch of lens to video so we had to work out how to get around the problems ourselves .. all good fun.
