Maybe it would be a good idea to fly low for a few days.

THIS article shows just how much radiation can be met in a relatively short time during these events.

It would appear that you could exceed the annual recommended dosage in just a few hours at high levels.

Incidentally, since this is possibly the most important R & N story going possibly, (flying low could save lives) it is disappointing that it has been shifted to where few will see it.
