JAA and CAA Look see approaches
I operate a G5 with HUD, we will soon be adding EVS.
The FAA allows pilots with HUD/EVAS to shot the approach when wx is below mins.
If the pilot on EVS/HUS has the runway enviroment in site at 200' he can go down to 100'(which will be every time)
BUT must execute a missed at 100' if the pilot without EVS does not see the runway.
Does the JAA or the CAA have anything similar in their regulations?
Does HUD with EVS provide any additional advantages under the current JAA/CAA regs?(other then the obvious one, safety)
Are they currently working on anything?
Right now as I understand it I can not initate the approach until I have current wx mins is this correct? (even though with HUD/EVS I can see the runway)
I am not a European reg expert so any references(websites0 would be greatly appreciated
