A380 Training

AFAIK the A380 first flight will take place some time next spring, and its delivery will occur in 2006. Just about 1 year from flight testing to commercial operation. Isn't it a bit short? or the transition should be easy coming from e.g. the A340?

Im sure I read someplace that the cockpit was on the lower deck so that A340 rated folk can transfer fairly easy across to the A380, someone will probs correct me tho!

KBaB,

As seen on photos, the flight deck is actually on a middle level, between the main and upper decks..

Merry Xmas
