Question Red Ink used in tech log?

I noted in a tech log recently the previous capt wrote all entries in red ink.....am i correct under CAA/JAR etc that red ink entries are not permissible?

It has to black, you have to think away from the log and what happens to completed log sheets, they get photocopied and faxed and photocopied ad infinitum. This only works with black ink.

The only possible use for red ink is to mark Pilot’s addition (4/10 – could do better !)
