A 320 engine anti ice / flex TO

According FCOM 2.02.24 pg1.

When only engine A/ICE is ON for takeoff:

RTOW/ OTOW must not be corrected when using FULL THRUST

BUT

FLEX temp must be reduced by 5ºC if the TO is FLEX.

WHY? it seems that the first is against the second.

THANKS.

The correcctions vary from engine to engine. On our 27K CFM 56-5B4, engine anti-ice on give a 1 degree reduction of flex and a 300 kg reduction of performance weight. Sounds strange that in your case with a 5 degree reduction of flex there is no reduction in performance weight.
