PLI and SE congfiguration

757/767

One technique I like to do/brief, if we're light enough and don't need climb performance, is to tell the FO that we'll be leaving the flaps at 1 climbing out and on downwind. This leaves the PLI displayed which I always find quite handy. It's the next best thing to having an AOA display.

Now, I know Airbus uses this technique. I'd like to see Boeing make it optional as well.

Anybodyelse doing this as well?
