md-11 engine ferrying

was wondering,can the md-11 carry a spare engine,as the tristar and 747s can? never seen one,but a colleague of mine assures me this can be done.anyone able to clarify?

No, the MD11 has no engine pod capability. DC10s could make it, but the MegaDog can't.
