Lhr - Hre/llw

does anyone know why the LHR - LLW route takes 12 hours and the LHR - HRE only 10 hours. On a map, HRE looks further away than LLW??

Probably because the aeroplane stops in Harare first, before carrying on to Liliongwe. The distances ex-LHR are about the same.
