Talking Radar and birds

I have been told by a few pilots that the weather radar on an aircraft helps to keep birds away from the flight path .
Can anyone confirm this?

There have been studies done in the past, and some evidence that using the radar might help clear the path of birds.

Today's radars are of such low emissions (the safe range on mine for emissions is 13.4 feet), that there is probably no value to it. On the other hand, why not use it, it's a no cost option, and if it keeps just ONE bird out of my engine, why not? <g>
