bboy has a good point. trying to find a pair of sunnies that won't have sides on them like Elvis'.
I have a cheap pair of polaroids, combined with an expensive Electronic Noise Cancelling headset that kills most of the noise that the sunnies arms let in, and it all works a treat.
Now to really keep me in heaven, all I need is a hostie that will.....................

bboy, without pushing retailers too much the ol' sunglasses hut has a good range from the cheap to "Oh Jesus are those gold plated?" range of sunglasses wear. The range I find is quite good over most brands and for purely for trying them out and I have usually run into reasonable staff who are not afraid of discounting their product a bit or throwing some sunnies care gear in with your purchase.
I too had the same problem with arms making noise leakage annoying but just as a note thin arms may fix this problem but cause others and it all depends on what headsets and seals you have. Eg DC's with the gel ear seals. My Serengeties have sprung arms and are quite compatible with my gel seals. Albeit a little more noise does get in but no more eye strain, and no more headaches from the arms biting into the sides of my head.
Anyway its fun shopping for them and an excuse to head to to the Music/DVD shop next door!

But Mum.........

bboy I have the solution to the problem of the glasses pushing against the temples and letting noise in, I have curled arms on my glasses (ray ban frames with prescription lenses) there just a thin round bit of wire that go all the way around the ear there extremely comfortable once you get them bent to the shape of your ear and you can look down without your glasses falling of.

I believe there was a post a few back up this page with the seregeti link on it from checkboard. Sunglasses hut does sell a limited range but if find a pair you like, have a look at aviation auctions on the net you will find runout models going pretty cheaply. I paid AUS180 for my burmudas (chick sunnies) but that style had just come out retailing at AUD250. The arms are quite flexible but they do have a wide range, one style of which just may suit.
One other thing, you may find it takes a couple of days to settle into the lenses. They are very relaxing for the eyes and the "wraparound" style would be great if serengeties have looked at those yet. Be interesting to see reports on peripheral vision obstruction in sunnies.... another day.
You never know till you have a go.... sorry its getting late.
Have fun trying em on

About 8 years ago whilst looking for sunnies at a Duty Free shop, the reatailer showed me a pair of sunnies that were expensive as hell. I said I wasn't interested because they cost too much. He said, put them on and go outside, I did, and came back inside and bought them - $220. They were SERENGETIS, and I will not wear any other. They are without a doubt the finest lenses I have ever worn. I reckon I can see though clouds with them. Other owners will understand. Over $300 worth these days.

bboy try http://www.rayban.com/ and look up outdoorsman or shooter, the arms are there but the sunies themselves aren't that flash you could try getting them from rayban as a part and fitting the to the glasses of your choice.

Since an optometrist recommended Ray-Bans in the mid 80's, I've purchased about 3 pair. It has always been possible to purchase curl arms (fine round arms with curls) to hook behind one's ear, sometimes as an extra, sometimes when the superieor charm worked ( ), for nicks.

I am lucky enough to own a pair of American Qptical Co.(Ray Ban)sunnies complete with aluminium case that an Uncle had during WW2.They have a beautiful green glass lens and wire wrap round legs.
The best glasses I can recall were the Metzler Zeiss jobs we all wore in PNG in taim bilong masta.
Anyone seen those around?

Hi all,
I have a pair of brand new Serengeti's I'm willing to sell. They were and unwanted gift and have remained in their case since.
They are a smaller aviator style in a black metal frame with "Driver" lenses(lighter at the bottom) model #5456c.
Cost a fortune, will sell for a steal. No use to me in the draw.
