Question Flight Manual, Generic...

Greetings all,

I'm preparing for the Transpot Canada Dispatcher test, and in the study guide they mention that the student should have a thorough knowledge of the Flight Manual. They say use Generic manual example 737.

I am not sure what they mean with Generic but anyone out there got a manual (not necessarly (spelling!) a 737) they want to get rid off or sell for cheap (Am only a student, ok)?

Drop me an Email leave a message...

Thank you very much

SJ

Smurfjet,

I think that the reason you are not getting any response is that the 737 type manual is not an A5 folder with half a dozen pages like a C172, but a fairly large document!

Boeing issue a copy, which is normally taken in by a company, who then produce their own version (integrated with that company's procedures) which is issued to the crew. As those documents contain details of the operator's procedures they don't like them being spread around.

If you were issued a copy of the manual:
  • You need it because you are flying the aircraft, or
  • You have returned it to the company when you transfered to another type.
