Post LPC/OPC validities...?

Just a quick one ..
With all the recent changes to JAR etc can someone let me know when these expire.

Is it the actual anniversary date of the last sim renewal or the end of the month ?

Does it make any difference whether the last check was a CAA or a company entry on the C of T page ? (ie new type rating addede by the CAA)

OPC

Valid for 6 months in addition to the remainder of the month of issue. If revalidated within the final 3 months of validity, the new expiry date is 6 months after the previous expiry date.

Type Rating

Valid for 12 months to the day. If revalidated within the final 3 months of validity, the new expiry date is 12 months after the previous expiry date.

Instrument Rating

Valid for 12 months to the day. If revalidated within the final 3 months of validity, the new expiry date is 12 months after the previous expiry date.

Have to disagree with you there,whoop-whoop.........

The CAA's PLD (Personnel Licensing Dep't)have
(surprise, surprise)!,actually made things as simple as possible.

They have recently amended the rules governing validity periods, and brought LPC's into line with OPC's.

Now,no matter why you are conducting an LPC,
(initial, renewal,or revalidation)the validity period will now always run to the end of the month.

Therefore, the "Aircraft Rating valid until date"that you enter into a pilots licence, should now ALWAYS be the last day of the month.
