Hi there,
They are nice aeroplanes - reasinably economical and carry are reasonable load. Also nice and easy to fly. Operator I flew for used to employ pilots with 200 hours into the right hand seat.
From a maintenance side also a good plane. Reliable engines that give very few problems.
Good short field performance & excellent rough field capability - it is built like a brick toilet(to coin a phrase). They tell me that you can land on a beach with it - if you can walk on the sand you can land on it. Never tried the beach thing, but I got the nosewheel stuck in sand once up in Bazaruto - would probably have broken the nosewheel off a lesser aircraft.
On the downside, it is slow and has a somewhat limited range, especially the 3D model(without the tip tanks, but I think uncertifiable in RSA anyway).
Anyway hope it helps.
Regards
