Arrow Indian Ocean Volmet

During several recent flight over the Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal, the HF volmet has been all but unusable. The only stations which came through were the Australian ones and we don't go there.

The fact that the Oz broadcasts worked fine suggests this is not a technical problem, more a lack of will on the part of some governments to provide airlines with the service they have paid for.

HF conditions have been very variable of late, due to very high solar activity...

Don't know if this is relevant. The fact that Australia seems fine while other stations aren't could be explicable in the same way.

Shot One,
It,s much easier to ask Karachi for the latest actual. I don't think I have ever heard any wx reports on HF Volmet for that area!
