There was an article in Aviation Week approx 2-3 weeks ago. The aircraft was executing an approach with gusty winds and mod+ turb, they sustained g loads of 1.5up and down. Apparently the high aoa protection was activated, they went to toga shortly before touchdown for the go-around and touched down at 1200fpm. Airbus has come out with a procedure when wind gusts in excess of 10kts or mod turb or greater are expected. You fly the approach with flaps 3, config 3, plus 10kts on to the new VLS.
