Aircraft (airliners) types that do not dump fuel?
Toolbox: Good points-if the Swissair MD-11 had landed ok at Halifax with a successful evacuation, whether with blown tires, even possibly damaged landing gear in the mud or not, would the Captain have been in serious trouble for not finishing the very long "abnormal checklist"? I really wonder if some airline cultures would punish the pilots for not finishing. Has the Swissair Flight Operations philosophy changed? How about at other airlines?
If the A-320/330 etc were re-designed to dump fuel, would there be no chance of a software malfunction, i.e. where you could not stop the dumping?

Sweeper, Fart is correct in saying that the A330 is capable of fuel dumping and I think EK is the the only airline with that option at a ton/min. I guess all a/c are capable, it's just the user requirements.
