AIRBUS A320/340/330 SLATS - SEALED vs GAPPED ?

Dear learned AIRBUS drivers,

Does the AIRBUS aircrafts have a extended-sealed slat position? IE Is there an extended position between retracted & gapped ? Ive heard the A321 has added a sealed mode ( in addition to the split fowler flap ) to increase lift to compensate for AIRBUS's pushing the A320 wing to the limit with the higher gross weight A321.

Thanks in advance
