Aircraft coming through MAEL Manchester have the yellow diamond painted out. Aircraft going through MAEL Luton have a decal. We decided to use paint as this is a high maintenance area with access panels etc. Also when painted, the rudder is moved to cover all the yellow.

Is it just me, or does the latest Monarch livery look awkward and "last minute idea"-ish?

The base livery with the sweeping colours is still realy well thought out, but adding a massive spotty M up front with billboard titles then with smaller titles, all scrunched together just makes it look cluttered.

By smaller titles you mean "Fly your way, every day" that's now gone.

That's good news. I still think the spotty M up front is too big and ungainly looking.

No, l think they have had enough visits to the paint shop, it was for this winter not next winter. :ok:

I still think that spotty M up front is too much.

That's absolutely perfect, really good.

Very nice and well done, my only criticism is that most of the time you would not see the Spotty M at the front, this because the door will be open covering it. :ok:

Hence the enlarged M on the tail ;)

Besides, most liveries are designed to show off at their best when the aircraft is moving, be it in flight or taxiing.

Couldn't agree more! Loving the new livery (on BW, BX etc) but on them & the others, take away that huge, un-needed spotty M at the front & also the slogan titles at the rear, which are coming off by the looks of it! :ok:

Is there any reason why the spotty M changed to all indigo apposed to yellow too? Looks so much better the original way, in my opinion!

Alas, without the proper e-mail address, nothing gets past the "contact us" people. In most cases they are outsourced folks with no interest in the airline itself and file my e-mails under "deleted"

passing through LGW the other day, and you could see the following:
Yellow Tail billboards
White Tail, two colour Spotty M lower case small titles
White Tail, two colour Spotty M capitalised small titles
White Tail, Indigo Spotty M billboards
and getting rid of the 'fly your way every day' pointless slogan will add another variation for the spotters
dogs breakfast springs to mind, just at a time when Monarch need consistent brand values, we know the airline is hopelessly confused, and now its shouting that out to the Travelling public that its confused.
