You also did BE prior to BU.
No, not me. There are two companies doing the Monarch install. I'm involved with aircraft coming through MAEL Manchester, the other company are doing the MAEL Luton input. But due to the on going First Choice EOL & Monarchisation of PP & PU, BU was moved from Manchester to Luton, resulting in a trip down south for me

Mr @ Spotty M 2nd March 2012 19:44

Thanks for the info.

You can clearly see where they have stuck the decal on the tail of that pic, the indigo diamond over the top of the yellow one! :=

The new livery is defo growing on me, still not keen on the interim one mind!

gchangflyer 10th March 2012 11:51

Stop being a querrulous bigmouth Topspotter.YOU seem to be the one with very little to do judging by how concerned you're getting with this thread :)

Personally, I reckon Monarch's present colours and its new ones are both great-good to see a 757, -MONK, scheduled to get the new decals. Its quite an old airframe (22yrs?) and so its good to see its going to be in service a while still

jamesferns 10th March 2012 14:18

I think the scheme is excellent i also think the previous poster should be ashamed of using that sort of language on a aviation forum, its not big and its not clever, grow up please.

gchangflyer 10th March 2012 14:32

thank you for the dressing down, james ferns. Your objection to my asterisk-sanitised word has been duly noted, and out of respect for your fragile constitution i have edited my post.i hope 'querrulous bigmouth' is more to your taste and doesn't upset you.

While noting that 'it is not big and it is not clever',followed by a peremptory suggestion that i 'grow up',(which i appreciate, but don't think i ever will,i mean i fly for a living, you can't have both) its clear that you've never been in a cockpit before (oops,am i allowed to use the word 'cock'?!),as this is how real people in the real world (yes, even the nice men flying the plane YOU'RE on) speak.

jamesferns 10th March 2012 14:58

You fly for a living????? ....my god im so so sorry, please forgive me and feel free to use the C word at will ....,I really had no idea you flew a plane ,....please please accept my profound apologies

gchangflyer 10th March 2012 19:37

It's OK little man, your apologies are accepted

La Amistad 10th March 2012 19:53

You might find that pilots in the real world are often polite to one another. Well the mature, proffesional ones anyway! Some pilots do grow up and act in a polite manner to others. Some clearly don't.

Your attitude is rather short. I am sure it will help you no end in the search for a new job.

Wardie73 15th March 2012 15:31

Decals installed on "BH", minus "Fly your way, Every day". The strap line has been dropped.:)

Chidken Sangwich 15th March 2012 16:10

"Fly your way, Every day". The strap line has been dropped.
Cue livery change number 10 this year...

What an utterly stupid strap line in the first place...

MKY661 15th March 2012 17:17

Perrmanately? or are they just not putting it on

Mr @ Spotty M 15th March 2012 17:28

It is being removed from all aircraft and no idea why, other than it was an irrelevant statement. :ugh:

MKY661 15th March 2012 17:47

Bizzare. They better be quick removing them. Besides it didnt fit on the A320's anyway.

TCX69 15th March 2012 20:00

:ugh: How many changes to a livery does one airline want to do?! For the better I might add though. Maybe they'll go back to the dual coloured M on the tail too!

MKY661 15th March 2012 20:05

I dont think they will do this because the new livery has a yellow background on the tail and the dual coloured M would look pretty bad on that! But good suggestion anyway, you never know.

MKY661 17th March 2012 23:16

Ouch! Look at the decal on the tail in the background of this pic:

Dont know which reg it is.

tubby linton 17th March 2012 23:21

Nothing new there. I remember the DC-10 "CA" and some of its of its Zambia Airways green livery could be seen around the rudder at certain angles

Mr @ Spotty M 18th March 2012 10:10

A majority of a/c end up like that, unless the control surfaces are removed for repaint.
The a/c are normally sprayed with control surfaces in neutral, hence you can not spray the leading edge.
