I've decided to set up a forum about airline liverys.The best and worst.For me the best are UNITED

Will your website include airlines that are now unfortunately defunct? The best ex-airline livery has to be Canadian Airlines' Proudwings livery incorporating the big Blue Goose. Too bad the Canadian Government allowed Air Canada to take that away from us.

Spenda, I think schoolkid meant a topic not forum.

Shame about the goose livery but we would have been a goose,cooked,otherwise. Now we're the only airline with a leaf on the tail. Hey, also the only country with a leaf on the flag.

Best - Ansett / South African
Worst - Air India (Your Palace in the Sky)!?

Best: Ryanair (new)
Worst: Air Malta

Best: Saudi Arabian
Worst: anything with an all-white fuselage

Best- The airline I'm working for
Worst- Any airline that turned me down

Best: open to deliberation, though partial to AZ, UT.

Worst: can anyone disagree with the old silver/white/blue fuselage and red tail of Northwest Orient?!?

Best: Fed-Ex - simple and classy.

Worst: Ryanair's full-plane adverts, particularly The Sun and NOTW efforts.

Best: USAirways
Worst: Northwest. All that red over grey looks like a friggin bowling shoe.

I think the Buzz livery is pretty cool.

And Go have got a nice marketing idea by painting them all different colours!

Worst in my opinion is the new Virgin Atlantic cola can rip-off. Although most people seem to like it other than me!

Best: KLM, although Gulf Air is a close second for me.

Worst: I have to agree with MileHi on Air India. Uglyyyyyyy

Surely the (now-defunkt) BA tail liveries count among the worst?

For those that liked the Canada Goose scheme - it was still proudly adorning two A320s at YYZ on Wednesday - saw them thanks to a 12 hour delay!! :mad:

Best - New Braathens is reasonable
Worst - BWIA http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/cool.gif <-- need shades on to look at it!

Best: BA - Landor Livery (Very classy)
Cathay - New livery

Worst: BA - Multi-coloured rubbish
Olympic

Best: the new classy look of USAIRWAYS
Worst: Whoever flies that nasty looking 146 in all screaming yellow with a bit of purple on it.

Best: New BA.
Qantas. (So simple, yet so effective)


Worst: Buzz/Virgin Sun (Yellow, yuk)
New BMI (Which I have to fly around in, what were they thinking!)

Best:- The old "old" Paddy [Aer Lingus] Daks.
Worst:- SAS "dogp..p on dogp..p"
Classiest:- Toss up between RAF VC10s and "proper" BOAC VC10s
we aim to please, it keeps the cleaners happy
