Best: Excalibur - simple and classy
http://www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!/photos/small/G/G-BWCP.gif Worst: BA 'tailfins' Vomit Comets the lot of 'em! [This message has been edited by Flying Banana (edited 27 June 2001).] |
Best- has to be the RAF VC10 Grey of 10sqn, first A/C I flew on as CC.
Worst- def the BA world tails, the olny time Lady T got something right when she slagged them off. Also is that 727 reg "ND", if so I cant belive it is still flying, used to fly it with Dan Air. |
Best - JAL really classy on their 744s.
Worst - Cant say BA's tail art did it for me but overall I reckon Buzz comes in by a nose. |
There are many more Worst than Best! My .02 worth on the BA multi-culturals ... not that bad. The flying pennant style of now is weedy and lacks substance.
Best: Agree that the BOAC on VC10s was heart stopping. Of those current? SAA have a beautiful tailfin now. Worst: Any that breaks up the natural line of the machine. This is why the BOAC VC10 looked so good - as it emphasized the natural lines and gave an impression of speed - whilst on the apron. I can stomach just about anything - unless they cut across the fuselage or other natural lines. The new Virgin is particularly dissapointing in this regard. Good colours but expanding the tailfin art work (to make the logo larger?) breaks the line. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong! All these fashionable curves (BMI etc.) will pass. ------------------ A window seat on the sunny side of the aircraft, please! |
