...Airborne immediate left to avoid......
"AAL757 when airborne immediate left turn to avoid federal reserve building, departures 25.4, cleared for t/o 27"
http://www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!/photos/big/0/0-Depart.jpeg **** Hot Story *** A/C nearly misses Fed reserv building http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/eek.gif  Cheers ------------------ SmurfJet In this life, you have to think ahead to survive, not just on the flightdeck. |
I'll go for this one.
This is at Boston. The building in the background is the Federal Reserve building - no surprise there, from Smurfie's original post. It's a matter of perspective - in the real Boston it's not that close, but it's an impressive piccie nonetheless. ------------------ I got bored with "WhoNeedsRunways" |
I reckon it must be McD flying this.........
You can take the girl out of the F16 but you can't take the F16 out of the girl !! ;) ------------------ 10 West UK ATC'er [email protected] |
Its amazing what you can do with a tele-photo lens. The angle is distorted too as the actual building is to the right of the flightpath (at least 1/2 mile away). The take-off procedure does not call for a left turn until 2 miles after departure.
