M-MANX is a C425 c/n 425-0044

It's ex N425HS which was cancelled from the USCAR on 13/08 as exported to the IOM

WNC

WNC is correct and I have amended the list.

Also look out for a Legacy and Gulfstream 4 soon.

I understand the tax`implications but fail to see what the real benefit is. To achieve this recognition the manx government will have had to set up a department and recruit someone with the skills to inspect a/c. Within a short time another country will be up and running and offering a better deal as I understand that financial rules apply to all EU members and Manx is also mandated to EU fiscal rules?

jabberwok 19th August 2007 04:09

The Isle of Man is not an EU member.

HZ123 19th August 2007 07:09

It is is not a full member but it has signed into the EU tax scheme some years ago and is fully compliant to the same rules. It must also I would hazard buy into the same voluntary aviation policys permitting the 'M' reg to fly within the EU.

Some misconceptions !

The Isle of Man has many differing and beneficial Tax Rules to anywhere else !

For a start the Company Tax rate is zero.

As regards to the benefits of the IOM register one of the main benefits is ESCAPE from CAA burocracy, the register recognises most ICAO licences and will endorse them to fly M reg aircraft........you work it out !!

The register has no need to employ certification personnel etc., it uses consultants.

In a nutshell the IOM has a very successful shipping register, the Aircraft Register will be just as successful.

The IOM is NOT part of the UK it IS part of the British Isles.

The IOM is NOT a member state of the EU.

Hope this helps. :ok:

From my own experience the amount of red tape is incredible - practically zero!

Also there is no insurance premium tax on the Island - 5% saving on a policy on a $20,000,000 a/c is a considerable amount.
