"PU" - which country?
Just had an aircraft come through here - "PU-NOV" and are trying to work out which country its from. Any ideas?
Thanks, F |

Which airport, what type of aircraft ?
Probably some of the paint peeling off or something; PU- is not allocated (but would be Brazilian if it was: http://life.itu.int/radioclub/rr/ap42.htm ). |
Just realised that the codes I found were for something completely different anyway! Should have paid attention to what I was looking at...
PT, that list you linked to: presumably some of the call signs listed are for things other than aircraft? Eg XJA-XOZ Canada... Any ideas? |

Ones lives and learns, particularly if one is a PPRuNer! Cheers!

Thanks for all that folks. It was an RV, and looked most like an RV-6A, the only one I recognise as I have time in one. And it was in KOSH - Oshkosh, WI
|
Ah, Oshkosh that 'splains it (I missed the Wisconsin connection earlier).
Here ya go: http://www.airventure.org/2006/tuesjuly25/brazil.html |
"Luiz Carlos Novi considered adding extra fuel capacity to his RV-9 before" - just goes to show how crap I am at telling one RV from another....:\

did you also see the Pelican PU-SSS at Oshkosh - both flights were quite an achievement
