Personally, I've been pleased to see a marked slackening-off of interest in an individual with such an obviously serious personality disorder. When there are specific developments in the saga relating to Atmosphere or Jet, fine ... but some of those posting prior to the hiatus were merely recycling, not revealing anything new of any kind.

Yes - ”with strength and sense" to save the Taxpayers money by stopping this lazy narcissistics JSA and getting him out to Work.

Feeling a bit bored today read through all of this thread with a mixture of astonishment and amusement, would have been mostly amusement other than the poor souls who got taken in or nearly taken in.
Quite astonishing really how people behave like this-reminds me of another couple of very long standing and informative Pprune threads, fake airline entrepreneur and dodgy ferry company.

One wonders why people can be so strangely deluded about their place in the world and their own abilities, bit like Nigel Farage in some ways, he at least has money behind him even if no one knows where it came from

I would say "Unbelievable". But, it's not.

If any cabinet ministers happen to be looking for an airline - not having any planes or experience doesn't matter - to help with transport after a chaotic Brexit, they need look no further than here. £millions beckon.

Love it :D:D:D

Atmoshere is build on the same fundaments as Brexit: misinformation, lack of knowledge, lack of experience, unachievable ambitions, dreams of the past, lack of funds and continuing lies to prevent people smelling a rat.. Rule Britannia :D

I think Jason may have company/competition...
From FlightGlobal: "Shuttered Icelandic ultra-low-cost carrier Wow Air is planning a comeback in October, thanks to a new investor that purchased the brand that ceased operations in March.
Virginia-based USAerospace Associates reached an agreement to purchase the Wow Air brand, and plans to restart operations between Washington Dulles international airport to Keflavik international airport outside of Reykjavik.
USAerospace Associates chair Michele Ballarin detailed the return plans during a press conference on 6 September in Reykjavik, which was recorded by Icelandic news website Visir.
The price of the agreement has not been disclosed, but Ballarin said her company committed $85 million to get the airline back up and running.
“It’s all equity, no debt—we have no debt in the organization,” she said.
The Wow fleet is expected to be smaller than its previous iteration, as Ballarin plans to restart the carrier “carefully” with two aircraft, which would increase to four by the summer season. She has said the airline has secured aircraft and plans to eventually grow the Wow fleet to 10 or 12 aircraft.
Wow Air operated 20 aircraft at the end of 2018, but cut its fleet almost in half to improve its financial position before ceasing operations and cancelling all fights on 28 March. The carrier launched in 2012 by operating single-aisle Airbus aircraft and later expanded its fleet with larger A330s.
“We look forward to seeing our first flight in October,” Ballarin said, noting that the airline's management would split its time between Washington and Reykjavik. It plans to operate hubs in both cities and seeks to focus on air cargo in addition to passenger operations.
The airline still requires certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration and has not yet announced flight schedules.
“While the team at Washington Dulles international airport held an initial meeting last month with Ms. Ballarin and her associates regarding the process for establishing air service at the airport, there are currently no flights scheduled with Wow Air out of Dulles international and no new air service to announce,” Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority spokesman Micah Lillard tells Cirium.

The airline will keep its name and branding while making some tweaks to the passenger experience. Ballerin said the carrier would give out water bottles and focus on nutritious meals designed by an executive chef. She also hopes the new carrier will offer an airport lounge that would be available to all Wow passengers."

I'm very surprised we haven't yet heard of an Atmosphere/Unsworth plan to rescue Thomas Cook Airlines, should the unthinkable happen (and I sincerely hope it doesn't).

Considering the groups he had partnered with in the Jet Airways purchase that never happened (shock eh), including if I'm not mistaken, Qatar Airways, and a UK based fund management and distressed asset and investment firm Hinduja Group, surely it must be a walk in a park to get the £1bn needed here. Remember, he had found £17bn for the Jet Airways rescue bid!!!

Frankly, with that kind of money available to him, and his extensive contacts in the industry, I wouldn't wait for the CAA to revoke their ATOL licence and just bang in a full cash offer today!!!

Mind you, he might be miffed with them because even if Thomas Cook survives, they have all but pulled out of his beloved Stansted Airport. So obviously, with his close ties to all those that have never heard of him at Stansted, he would want to stand in solidarity with them and stand aside, allowing a venerable British brand to collapse right on his doorstep and doing nothing to intervene.

As soon as the selling price hits the value of his JSA, I'm sure he'll be in there with his Bid.

Big Tudor 17th Sep 2019 23:53

Uncle Oleg is lamenting lost opportunities over on LinkedIn. Apparently the big bad banks wouldn’t let him put an offer in for TCX. Surprised he has the time what with supporting JA’s bids for bankrupt Indian carriers and trying to persuade the Worlds airlines of how ‘super’ the Sukhoi SuperJet is.

TwinAisle 19th Sep 2019 13:59

I noted the Oleg "I AM RIGHT. YOU ARE MORON" stuff going on. Latest is that Boeing should forget the 737 and build the SuperJet under licence. I really would like a good lungful of whatever he has been huffing.....

He done the Moron thing to Me on LinkedIn when I questioned not only the BS He puts on there but his support of the boy wonder.

I'm looking forward to the day he admits:

1. He has never even worked for an airline, let alone run one.
2. He is clueless about airline licensing, aeropolitics and airline economics
3. He has no money - his mouth is writing cheques he cannot cash
4. He is actually a Limassol travel agent, one of perhaps a dozen down there in the same line.

I'm just amazed that so many people regard him as the second coming of the Messiah.

He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy!

Strangely quiet on the TC situation, does he not fancy his chances? Just rants about his Thai bride lack of visa these days.
