Goat around
October 15: A Bhutan Airlines Airbus A319 was on final approach to Kathmandu's runway 02 when a goat reached the runway prompting the crew to initiate a "goat around".
Preliminary investigation shows the goat came from the army battalion responsible for airport security. Incident: Bhutan A319 at Kathmandu on Oct 15th 2016, goat around |
If the crew had landed, they could have had the army battalion mascot, as an airline mascot! - or an Airbus mascot, at least!
Reminds me of YPCC, where they do a fast run with the airport utility (pickup), up and down the runway just prior to any takeoff, to scare off the roaming bantams! (the feathered variety, of course). |
Mascot? It was quite possibly "dinner in waiting"!
