Whatever happened to the Honda Jet ? A few years ago it was looking like a shoe-in to the light jet market backed by the Japanese behemoth and yet…..not too much has happened it would seem.

The HondaJet has gotten provisional FAA certification as of now, so the full cert is imminent. It's fast for it's class, it's price competitive (about the same as a PC12) and has quite a bit of innovation. I happen to think it looks good too.
There's a good article about chief engineer Michimasa Fujino's 29-year struggle to convince the Honda board to build it, which they finally agreed to do. I hope it does well just for him. He deserves it. How The HondaJet Took Flight: An Engineer's 29-Year Obsession |
