I had a look around the one at Toulouse. According to the Airbus chap with us it is still full of oil and hydraulic oil, which keeps the seals from drying out, and their engineers pressurise it every now and again against the day it 'might' fly.

Personally I don't see it happening though.

I suppose they could dig up Mike Bannister to fly it again!! :ugh:

I doubt you would get any engineering authority for it, Airbus always hated it!

Most of AF Concorde are still intact except for couple but all BA Concordes were drained from all liquids plus there ground power connectors were removed. "AC" was re-lifed when most of its electronic systems were powered up again couple years ago by Concorde diehards but due to internal politics between 2 groups it was put to sleep again and museum was told by BA not to let it power up again.....

I'm skeptical about RTF again, I have to see it to believe it. I can see RTT under there own power is possible easier then RTF...Lets see what happens as BA still have there backs towards these marvelous aircrafts. If there is ant RTF Concorde, it will most likely from Air France fleet..."F-BTSD" more then others as its kept alive electronically with most systems still operational on it.....

The daydream in the UK was to get Alpha Fox (Currently at Filton) flying again.
They had better hurry up, Filton closes at the end of the year! :)

Another farce like the money-swilling Vulcan. Meanwhile, hospital doctors are earning a pittance for 80 hour weeks. Some people want to get their priorities organised.

Its called history and letting others marvel in the technological advances that were made back then.

Hell, why dont we close all the museums down, demolish all the old buildings and do away with any history that this once great nation had, that way we can pay the doctors more money.

Today's judgment that Continental Airlines are not to blame for the Concorde disaster will upset the French, now they will have to try to find someone else to blame.
