Anyone know why these 'military helicopters' are at a 'commercial airport'?

your question

Why should they not be at EMA probably a tech stop for fuel as its weekend most military bases closed

reportyourlevel 22nd Apr 2012 06:06

Military aircraft frequently use our (civil) airport either for fuel, training or diversions. Not uncommon or unusual and certainly nothing to prevent it (barring a couple of our in-house rules which are not for discussion here).

Thanks for that.

And if you dont want them send them instead on a short over water training detail to Cork. The place here could do with a bit of a boost! :8

The ones in the OP's link aren't CIV01 and CIV02; the first at least is a Mk3A (note nose shape). I think the second is too.

Sign of a shrinking airforce - fewer mil bases to refuel at!

civ-02 is a mk3a demonstrator and i can confim it was them, as i was sat in the back of civ-01 at the time
