Question 2x Merlin Helicopters At EGNX

http://www.youtube.com/v/KrMGar5IC_U

Anyone know why these 'military helicopters' are at a 'commercial airport'?

Military aircraft frequently use our (civil) airport either for fuel, training or diversions. Not uncommon or unusual and certainly nothing to prevent it (barring a couple of our in-house rules which are not for discussion here).

And if you dont want them send them instead on a short over water training detail to Cork. The place here could do with a bit of a boost!

The ones in the OP's link aren't CIV01 and CIV02; the first at least is a Mk3A (note nose shape). I think the second is too.
