Anyone know why these 'military helicopters' are at a 'commercial airport'?

Why should they not be at EMA probably a tech stop for fuel as its weekend most military bases closed

Military aircraft frequently use our (civil) airport either for fuel, training or diversions. Not uncommon or unusual and certainly nothing to prevent it (barring a couple of our in-house rules which are not for discussion here).

And if you dont want them send them instead on a short over water training detail to Cork. The place here could do with a bit of a boost!

civ-01 and -02 at ema post filming for the new bond film "skyfall." augusta westland have leant them to the film makers for in reyurn for a pretty big plug in film

The ones in the OP's link aren't CIV01 and CIV02; the first at least is a Mk3A (note nose shape). I think the second is too.

civ-02 is a mk3a demonstrator and i can confim it was them, as i was sat in the back of civ-01 at the time
