New Monarch Decals/Livery
 

Ive decided to craete this forum due to the Monarch forum being quite spotty about the planes getting the new decals (and eventually painted)

Currently with new decals are:
G-MAJS
G-MONS
G-OJEG
G-OZBM
G-OZBT

G-EOMA also getting them this week.

Anybody have a list of who is getting them next?

I have a list and will post it later today, when l have more time. :ok:

This is the latest info on when the planned dates for the decals are to be fitted, subject to change as most are being applied during “C” checks or during planned hangar visits.
No decision has been made on if & what a/c will be repainted as far as l am aware and this might change the planned dates below.
Some a/c might be missing from the list, but these are the only inputs l am aware of so far.
The list is in order of when the a/c are due to leave the hangar and not when they will be applied, so delays are possible.

No, please do. Personally I do keep a record of what aircraft carries what scheme, and this is useful as a matter of historical record.

Date changes
 

Both A320 "ZBK" & "RJK" are now due for a repaint at Air Livery in MAN. So they will now appear in new livery as follows, "ZBK" 27th Jan and "RJK" around the 3rd Feb.

G-OZBS now in new colours:

Actually it is very interesting as I recently flew back from Lanzarote on this aircraft in the old livery.

Anyone know if this fatty Heavyweight Butterfly I G-OJMR | Flickr - Photo Sharing! Came into Luton today for new paint of regular MX? Got hangared in no time. :)

The first A330 in the new colours, G-EOMA. I think it looks really good on the 330. Both pics are on the right side of the fuse.:

By the looks of the schedule G-OZBK is next :).

G-OZBK is going to be the first a/c in the new revised livery.
Small changes to livery from the previous colour layout and the colours may be a slightly different shade, due to using a different paint manufacturer.

Talking of Rome, I see the new Luton to Rome scheduled flights operate 3 times a week.
How does that fit with the branding FLY YOUR WAY, EVERY DAY ? :ugh:

Get rid of the Spotty M on the fuselage and paint the tail yellow.

Mr Spotty M, do you know if the aircraft currently in the bilboard livery will get the revised livery which will be applied to G-OZBK?. Monarch keeps on changing there mind. So is it going to be in a different colour layout only, or will other areas will be changed?

They will only receive the complete change on a re-spray as the change is only where the colour is applied and not on titles.

G-OZBK has arrived at MAN today (swapped with G-MONX at GIB) but not sure what day it is due in to air livery

Think it is now Friday, a little later than originally planned, will update later in the week.

If you are referring to installing of the decals only, then here is the current a/c for MAN.
ZBP, ZBG, ZBU, ZBR, OJMR, ZBI, ZBH, MONR, MONX, SMAN, MPCD & ZBF.
The two extra A320s for spraying into MON colours could be at MAN if space is available at Air Livery.
Please be aware that dates and facilities can change and if l was a betting man, l would put money on it changing.

You were correct on the respray on SMAN, however that has now been cancelled.

A shame, as Monarch are quite a classy outfit, allegedly.
Why is there a pressing need to put a company's web address on the side of an aircraft?
Most people who use computers can work it out for themselves. Then again, they did fly 'music enthusiasts' to Hed Kandi discos in Ibiza.

How long does it take to stick one of these decals on an aircraft if there was no respray involved? Just curious whether it's an hour, day,....?

It can take a day if nothing else is being done on the aircraft, but that never happens, so it is usually carried out when the aircraft is on a maintenance check of two days or more. :ok:

As much as I like aeroplanes, I still can't work up the enthusiasm to masturbate furiously over an airliner's change of colour-scheme.

You clearly have real problems zooker, if the sight of BK in her new decals doesnt do it for you then you need to be looking at professional help, and sooner rather than later
