Easyjet Emergency landing in LPL

Easyjet plane makes emergency landing at John Lennon Airport - Liverpool Local News - News - Liverpool Echo

Does anyone have any more details yet?

CharlieFly 9th Jun 2011 09:31

It's thought the plane had a mechanical fault and the emergency landing was a precautionary measure.

HEATHROW DIRECTOR 9th Jun 2011 09:34

So, just a technical diversion then?

AirbusPhp 9th Jun 2011 10:58

the only real worrying fact is the low passenger number :suspect:
Surprisingly nobody was reported to have feared for his life... :suspect:

MungoP 9th Jun 2011 11:33

No word yet then of which hospital, orphanage and school the pilots narrowly avoided while struggling to maintain control of the (almost) doomed aircraft ?

These sort of replies were funny once...

These sort of replies were funny once...
Tim

You trying to be a kind hearted sole :ok:, those comments were never funny.

Have used them on occasions myself but they still not funny just stupid.

Torque Tonight 9th Jun 2011 11:53

Whereas the last two replies aren't funny now, never were and never will be!:ok:

Hahn 9th Jun 2011 12:22

That's interesting:

"JLA spokesman Robin Tudor said: “They had some form of technical problem, although I’ve not got the exact details, and the aircraft decided to turn back."

I didn't know the airbus is that sophisticated!

lexxie747 9th Jun 2011 12:33

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a kind hearted sole?

blind pew 9th Jun 2011 12:37

a distant relation to the Dover sole

SmilingKnifed 9th Jun 2011 12:38

There's no such thing. It was just a red herring.

I'll get my coat then...

ladies and gentlemen 9th Jun 2011 12:40

Just a tech return to base, no emergency! As for pax numbers the ezy601 generally has low loads into bfs and high loads on the inbound sector.

I didn't know the airbus is that sophisticated!
It is. Someone some time heard comm between tower and flight xxx an A320 "we're going around, the airplane won't let us land" :}

Probably just bravo sierra, or a screw up by the guys in seat 0 A and B.

So, just a technical diversion then?
Seems to be the most likely explanation at the time.

lplsprog 10th Jun 2011 15:53

A fuel leak indication I was told.
