King Air guys in South Africa
Hi guys. I'm in desperate need of information on King Air 200 type rating courses and the approximate cost in South Africa. I hope somebody can point me in the right direction and also tell me what the SA air refs require for a foreign licence holder doing a type rating in SA. Thanks guys, I look forward to hearing from U soon.

hi
i know that federal air at virginia airport (DBN) do kingair and caravan ratings, they also have a lot of the UN charter in africa and are apparantly pretty well regarded. have heard there are a few less comprehensive places in JHB who will claim to take about 5 hours for the rating, whereas i think the quoted time for the federal guys is about 20 hours ......
hope this is a little help

20 hours for a B200 rating! That's daylight robbery!
Anyone with previous twin and turbine time could easily do it in 6.
Don't you just hate it when people try to re-invent the wheel.
