I remember Phil from the Air Europe days, he was a terrific bloke, always involved with aeroplanes both big and small, and a total aviation person !

A sad loss

RIP Phil

How sad. A real gentleman with whom I spent many a happy 'social' hour, whilst also working together professionally. Could anyone tell what happened?

If it's the same one I've worked with as a senior inspector at AAIB he was a very professional inspector who was a credit to his profession. Surely also a relatively young man, what happened?

He was 49 and died at home of a heart attack.
A genuine, honest, professional and decent friend.

A very real shock and a great loss to AAIB and the wider industry.

Condolences to family, friends, and colleagues.

I am very saddened to hear this news.

He was a very talented man, in the many spheres of aviation in which he was involved.

My thoughts are with his wife and young daughter.
