AAIB bulletins - poor new format

I think many posters here would also look regularly at the monthly AAIB accident bulletins on http://www.aaib.dft.gov.uk/bulletin/bulletin.htm

From this month, May 2003, there is a new format. Previously there was instant access to the list for the month, and then each individual report. Now all the month's reports have been rolled up into one 1.5 mb Acrobat file that takes an age to download, and a further age to page through, especially for those on slow dial-up modems.

An absolute backwards step.

WHBM,

write to them.

2-3 years ago they did they exact same thing. I wrote to complain for the same reason you posted above. To my great suprise (and to their credit) they wrote back and apologised and said they hadn't considered it would be more difficult.

They changed the format back a week later and it has been the same ever since, until this May's bulletin.

I will write and remind them myself as well

If I still have the original email, I will post it here

Apparently going to revert to previous format soon.

See this thread in the Private Flying forum.
