www.cae.com/aviationtraining should help you out as well with 3 737 in AMS , 1 737 in BRU, 1 737 and A320 in DXB and one A320 in Mad.

Only consider a typerating with the guarantee of a job with an airline!

good luck!

Call Sue Masson or Alison Milborow at Astraeus down at Gatwick. The rating includes Base Training and is around £17,000 all inclusive. Sims are in Dublin or Gatwick/Heathrow and the Ground school is in Gatwick.
It takes 5 weeks. The Aircraft is a 737-300 and differences Training will upgrade you to the -7/8/900 if you wish.
01293 819817 will get you through to the office.
You must have a frozen Atpl and MCC and go through a sim check/aptitude test and interview before being accepted. If you dont have an MCC it's possible to include it within the course but this adds a few days extra.

Astraeus is also asking £ 1,000 for pre-selection (simulator assessment,psycometric testing,interview).
Which wannabe can gamble £ 1,000 and then £ 18,800 for a type rating without a job offer?

AYR521,

The £1000 pre-selection course is to let wannabee's know if it worth spending their money on a type rating. It is a proper airline selection day, and , unlike most airline selection days, you get full feedback on how the day went.

We set this up so that we could assure people who wanted to invest in their own type-rating that they had a high probability of getting through the course. If you need more details , feel free to drop me an e-mail.

Arrow FAA ratings

If you want to fly and work in Europe FAA rating will not do you any good unless you actually have time in type. Then you can take a flight check without actually taking the full type rating course.

In US B737 start from 6995 up to 17000 USD. A320 with Pan Am was quoted as 18000 USD. Add another 4000 to 5000 for a months worth of living expenses, hotels and travel from Europe and you get close to what it will cost you at the end.

CAE in Amsterdam quoted B737-300 with EFIS at around 35000 Euros.

B737 rating

Type rating only 15.799,- Euros (18.999,- Euros incl. MCC)
at COMFLY Berlin. They use the Lufti sim. and if you´ve never flown a jet before T&Gs are offered for 7.500,- Euro.

BUT: Don´t pay anything without having it black on white that you´ll have a job after the training.
