The only thing I have is part of an e-mail address.."air_rum2002" and that the operation is owned and operated in Jordan with crew training in the UK. That's all I have so far.

Hey 'Bear 555',
My understanding is that all those ex-Saudia L-1011s have a caviette on them that no booze of any kind can be served/carried on them, for the life of the machine.
Seems bizzare to say the least!!!

I guess that's why they are still standing in the desert, unused!

Cheers

Fesmokie, have a look at http://flytristar.tripod.com information is there under TriStar news.

Ah...not true, Flight Detent, they sit unsold for generally two reasons, poor prep for preservation and asking price too high. SV has never sold any of their old airliners, only option that came up was a trade to Boeing...B707's + cash (or oil) for B747's.

Thanx for that info. I never new about that site before and it gave me some renewed hope that the 1011 is still alive. I spent 5 years on the bird and loved every minute of it.
