Desmond Norman

Just read this evening that Desmond Norman died on November 13th aged 73.

Condolences to family, friends and former colleagues on his passing.

Reading his obituary I was surprised at the list of other achievements and inventions beyond the ubiquitos Islander.

It also states that he was working on another project, the Weekender, to be launched in the new year.

RIP

I knew both them both pretty well. Britten Norman will always be remembered for the Islander, but they have had some other successes which sadly failed to excite the investors. But their epitaph might well read "To the day we die, and beyond, the Islander will live on."

Condolences to the relatives.
