Thumbs down JAR strikes again!

Just submitted my log books etc to the CAA after collecting the coveted 1500 hours, to find that they won't issue my ATPL until I next sit an ATPL skills test, or effectively my next LPC which is in April.

Anyone else in the same boat? I understand that only a few of us are coming out of the woodwork that are upgrading from a JAR CPL to a JAR ATPL where this problem lies.

JAR requires that once you have all other requirements, only then can you sit your LPC in order to get your JAR ATPL. If you had a UK CPL, you just collect your hours, pay the CAA, then collect your shiny ATPL!

In my case command courses not to mention pay scales are all based on date of issue of ATPL!

Help!
