NOTAM?
NOTAM?
Living quite close to Yeovilton we see low flying helicopters.
Just up (literally) the hill from us (at a ground height of maybe 140m) there is a lerge crane preparing to lift a new bridge into place over the next few days. I've just noticed (as it gets dark) there is a flashing light on the tip of the crane. I wouldn't like to guess the height of the crane but is stands well above surrounding trees.
Question - does this require a NOTAM or is the flashing light enough?

That to do with the A303 dualling?
Doesn't appear to be a current NOTAM in the area for an obstacle, though plenty for cranes elsewhere, nearest is at what was Lulsgate in my youth.
The crane is to lift a prefabricated bridge into place over the A359 close to where it crosses the A371 just outside Castle Cary. The old Hadspen Estate rechristened "The Newt in Somerset" has purchased several surrounding farms and, in an attempt to keep their farm traffic off public roads, they have built a network of their own roads and this is part of that network.
Thanks for the answers.
